# Set environment type

Mark your agent and MCP collections with an environment type to help prioritize scanning and triage alerts.

## How to Set Environment Type

1. Go to **Agentic Discovery > Collections**
2. Select one or more collections
3. Click **Set env type**
4. Choose: Development, Staging, or Production

## Auto-Detection

Collections with "demo" or "staging" in their name are automatically marked as Staging.

## Custom Environment Types

You can create custom environment types beyond the defaults:

* Development
* QA
* Pre-Production
* Partner Integration
* Customer Demo
